「CHERRY'S COMPANY × ROARS ORIGINAL LEATHER GLOVES（チェリーズカンパニー＆ロアーズオリジナル レザーグローブ）」の再発売です！
こちらのアイテムは、モーターサイクルカスタムショップ「CHERRY'S COMPANY」さんとのコラボレーションで制作したレザーグローブです。
もう数年前の話になりますがチェリーズカンパニーさんに遊びに行った時に代表の黒須さんと「何か一緒に作りましょう！」という話になりました。
折角何かを作るのなら、お互いのお客様に共通して身に付けられるアイテムが良いのではと思いました。そんな話で落ち着いたのがレザーグローブでした。
そして、コラボレーションに相応しいデザインとは何か・・と打ち合わせを重ねました。
ヒントになったのがチェリーズカンパニーさんの工場に展示してあったカスタムバイクのシートの柄でした。
レザーグローブのデザインをカスタムバイクからヒントをもらう・・・これは面白いコラボレーションが出来ますね！と黒須さんと共鳴したことを思い出されます。
そして、チェリーズカンパニーさんのカスタムシートを制作している工場さんを訪れ、実際にシートを作る方法でサンプルを縫って頂き、それをベースにロアーズオリジナルでグローブの制作を開始しました。
ザックリいうとこのような流れで進んで行きました。
それなりに制作過程で苦労はしましたが、とても貴重な経験をさせて頂きました。

素材は1.1ｍｍの牛革です。オールシーズンタイプの中肉のレザーです。
グローブの甲の部分にウレタンスポンジと裏地を挟んでキルティングを施しています。
一本一本、丁寧に縫われた細かいキルティング・ステッチとウレタンスポンジによる生地の膨らみが、何とも言えず格好良いグローブです。
人差し指と中指の先端は二枚合わせで補強しています。
これはチェリーズカンパニーのお客様がハーレーダビットソンに乗る人が多いため、クラッチ操作など指に力を使う場面が多い事を考慮した作りになっています。
旧車などクラッチ・ブレーキレバーが重いバイクに乗っている人にもおすすめの機能です。
サイズ展開はS、M、L、XL、４サイズ展開になっております。グローブのサイズほど悩ましいものはないですね・・・（笑）。
ちなみに僕は、手の平外周23cm、中指長さ 8㎝、人差し指 7㎝、親指長さ 6.5㎝、です。Sサイズでも入りますがゆとりを持ってMサイズを選んでいます。
グローブの親指と人差し指の作りはウィンカー等の計器類を出す際に指がつっぱらないように1㎝前後、長く設定しています。よって親指と人差し指は指があまるような状態になりますがそれが正解なのでご安心ください。
通販をご利用の方で計測して選んで頂いても思ったサイズと異なる場合もあると思います。その場合が遠慮なくサイズ交換のご連絡をお願いします。
グローブのサイズは大き目が良いか小さめが良いかをよく質問を頂きます。答えるのにとても悩む質問です（笑）。正直・・レザーなので明らかにサイズが間違っていなければ、手に馴染んでくれると思います。

今回のカラーはブラックとホワイトです。
ブラックは文句なしでカッコイイです。
ホワイトは経年変化で汚れて来たら、さらに雰囲気が出て良さそうですね。
レザーグローブの修理についてですが、レザーグローブは汗によりレザーを痛めやすく、グリップやレバーを握ったりと過酷な状況化に置かれるため、一般的に寿命が3～4年と言われています。
しかし、小さな穴や糸のほつれ程度で捨ててしまうのは勿体無いです。
もちろん修理するより購入した方が安い場合もありますが、修理してまた数年使って頂ける事も多いです。

CHERRY’S COMPANY × ROARS ORIGINAL LEATHER GLOVES
From ROARS ORIGINAL
This glove is a collaboration between ROARS ORIGINAL and the motorcycle custom shop CHERRY’S COMPANY. The concept was born during a visit to CHERRY’S COMPANY, where the idea of creating something wearable for both brands’ customers naturally led to the choice of leather gloves.
The design was inspired by the patterns on the custom motorcycle seats displayed in their workshop. With this motif as the starting point, a prototype was sewn using the same method employed in seat production, which then became the foundation for glove development at ROARS ORIGINAL.
Material and Construction
Crafted from 1.1mm cowhide, the leather is of medium thickness, suitable for all seasons. The back of the glove is quilted with urethane sponge and lining, producing a refined dimensional texture. Each stitch is carefully sewn, giving the gloves a distinctive look.
The tips of the index and middle fingers are reinforced with double layers of leather. This feature was designed with Harley-Davidson riders in mind, where clutch operation requires significant finger strength. It is also highly recommended for riders of vintage motorcycles with heavy clutch and brake levers.
Fit and Sizing
Available in S, M, L, and XL. Leather gloves are often difficult to size, but the material adapts to the hand over time. Unless the size is clearly mismatched, the gloves will naturally break in with wear.
The thumbs and index fingers are intentionally made about 1 cm longer. This prevents tightness when operating switches and controls, meaning these fingers may feel slightly long at first―this is intentional and correct.
Color Variations
Black: A timeless and universally stylish option.
White: Gains unique character through use, with aging and patina adding depth over time.
Durability and Repair
Leather gloves are exposed to sweat, grips, and levers, which can cause wear. Their typical lifespan is said to be 3－4 years. However, minor holes or loose stitches can often be repaired for further use, rather than discarded. In many cases, repair allows the gloves to serve for additional years.
Gloves become more comfortable with use, developing into a trusted companion over time. If repair is needed, please contact us before deciding to dispose of them.
