ロアーズオリジナルから折り畳みが出来るハット「ROARS HAT FOR BIKERS （ロアーズハットフォーバイカーズ）」のご紹介です。
お陰様で定番商品として展開させて頂いておりますハットです。
このような形状のハットで折り畳みが出来るなんて、なかなか聞いたことがないです。
なぜ折り畳みが出来るのかと言いますと秘密は素材のポリエステル混紡糸にあります。
この特殊な糸に熱を加える事でハットの形状を記憶するように作られています。
この形状記憶技術はハットを作ってくれている工場さんのアイデアを頂きました（企業秘密（笑））。
この形状記憶の素材を使う事でハットを折り畳んだ後の戻りがとても良くなります。
もちろん永遠に形状記憶するのかと言われると機能は徐々には失われていきます。
しかし、使い方次第でかなり長期でハットの折りたたみが楽しめます。
使い方を説明させて頂きます。
ハットの折りたたみ方法を画像で確認しながらお聞きください。
一つ目のポイントはハットの頭の先端をつまんで引き出してください。
ハットの先端に折り癖が付かないように引き出しておきます。
後は画像のようにクルクルと折り畳んで下さい。ハットを折り畳むなんて初めは違和感があると思いますが思い切りやっちゃってください。
二つ目のポイント。
ハットは折りたたんで持ち運びした後は、元のハットの形に戻して保管して下さい。
ここがポイントです。形状記憶の糸を使っていますので折りたたんだままの状態が長くなると、その形状を記憶してしまいます。
バイクでツーリングくらいの時間は問題ありませんのでご安心ください。
今までに実際にあった例は真夏にハットを折りたたんだ状態で車のダッシュボードに置きっぱなしにしてしまい見事に折りたたんだ状態を形状記憶してしまった例があります。
真夏の車内の暑さは糸が形状記憶するにはバッチリの環境でした（笑）。
笑い事ではないですね。
そのお客様はすぐにお問い合わせ頂き生地もまだ新しかったので工場に持ち込んでハットの形に形状記憶し直しました。
使用頻度によって改善が難しい場合もありますが、そのような事がありましたら諦めずにロアーズオリジナルまでご相談ください。
最後、ポイント三つ目は洗濯です。
洗濯出来ない生地ではないのですが、やはり洗えば洗うほど形状記憶は落ちて行きます。
特にツバの部分はヘナっと倒れてしまします。
それはそれで良いと言ってくださるお客様も多いですが初めの形状とは変わってしまいます。
形をキープされたい場合はなるべく洗濯は避け、陰干しや消臭スプレーなどでケアして頂くと長持ちします。
僕の場合はハットの内側をアルコールのウェットティッシュでゴシゴシ拭き取ります。
意外と綺麗になるのでお勧めです。
ハットの生地は少しパイルが掛かっていて柔らかいです。
ポリエステルなので日光に強く褪色し難いのも嬉しいです。
生地を日光に当てると光が漏れるほど透け感がありますので風を通す涼しいハットです。
強風でも飛ばされ難いのも嬉しいです。
夏向けのハットではありますが生地が起毛しているので寒い時期に使用してもおかしくはありません。僕は年中このハットを被っています。
サイズはMサイズとLサイズがあります。（詳しい寸法はサイズ表をご覧ください）
画像のようなサイズ調整のアジャスターがハットの内側についています。
2.5cmほど頭周りのサイズ感を小さく出来ます。よって、サイズ感は少し大きめを選ばれてもサイズ調整が出来ます。
ちなみに僕はおでこ周りが58cmです。57〜59.5cmのLサイズを普段被っています。
フィットしたほうが好みなので少しアジャスターで小さく調整して使用しています。
カラーはブラック・グレイ・カーキの３色です。
ブラックはもちろんカッコイイです。なんだかんだブラックの頻度は多いです。
グレイはブラックに比べ熱を吸収し難いので夏にお勧めです。白いTシャツとの相性も良いです。
カーキはキャンプなどアウトドアにも重宝します。柔らかい印象を与えます。
バイカーといえばキャップが定番ですがツーリング先でハットを被れるなんてお洒落な事だろう・・なんて個人的には自負しています。

Here is an introduction to the ROARS HAT FOR BIKERS from ROARS ORIGINAL―a hat designed to be foldable.
This is one of our staple products.
It is rare to find a hat of this style that can be folded up.
The secret behind its foldability lies in the material: a polyester blend yarn.
This special yarn is heat-treated to give the hat "shape memory" properties.
Using this shape-memory material ensures the hat springs back beautifully after being folded.
Of course, the shape-memory function isn't permanent; it will gradually diminish over time.
However, with proper care, you can enjoy the convenience of folding the hat for a long time.
Let me explain how to use it.
Please follow along with the images showing the folding method.
The first point is to pinch the top of the hat and pull it upwards.
Pull it out so that the tip doesn't develop a permanent crease.
Then, simply roll it up as shown in the images.
Here is the second point.
After carrying the hat folded, please return it to its original shape for storage.
This is crucial. Because it uses shape-memory yarn, leaving it folded for an extended period means it might "remember" that folded shape.
Rest assured, though―keeping it folded for the duration of a motorcycle tour is perfectly fine.
Finally, the third point concerns washing.
While the fabric is washable, the shape-memory effect will diminish with repeated washing.
If you want to maintain the shape, it is best to avoid washing it; instead, air-dry it in the shade or use a deodorizing spray to keep it fresh and extend its lifespan.
Personally, I wipe the inside of the hat with an alcohol-based wet wipe.
It cleans surprisingly well, so I highly recommend it.
The hat's fabric has a soft, slightly pile-like texture.
Since it is made of polyester, it is resistant to sunlight and fading―a great feature.
The fabric is sheer enough to let light through, making it a cool, breathable hat.
It is also designed to stay put, so it won't easily blow off in strong winds. Although it is a hat designed for summer, the fabric has a brushed finish, so it doesn't look out of place during colder seasons either. I wear this hat all year round.
It comes in sizes M and L (please refer to the size chart for detailed measurements).
As shown in the image, there is an adjuster inside the hat to fine-tune the fit.
You can reduce the head size by about 2.5 cm, so even if you choose a slightly larger size, you can adjust it to fit properly.
For reference, my head circumference is 58 cm, and I usually wear the size L (which fits 57−59.5 cm).
I prefer a snug fit, so I use the adjuster to make it a little smaller.
It is available in three colors: black, gray, and khaki.
Black looks cool, of course―it’s the color I find myself wearing most often.
Gray absorbs less heat than black, making it a great choice for summer; it also pairs well with a white T-shirt.
Khaki is handy for outdoor activities like camping and gives off a softer, more relaxed vibe.
While caps are the standard choice for bikers, I personally take pride in the stylish touch of wearing a hat when out on a ride.
